Kenneth Murray
Kenneth Murray is the founder and Managing Director of Blue Planet Investment Management Ltd. He is also the firm's Senior Investment Manager and oversees the investment process. In 1990, he founded The Bank of Edinburgh Group plc and the Bank of Edinburgh plc and was Managing Director of both companies until their sale in 1994. Shortly after its formation The Bank of Edinburgh Group acquired Goode Durrant Bank plc and in 1992 it agreed to acquire the Heart of England Building Society, which had assets of approximately £1 billion. Prior to establishing The Bank of Edinburgh Group plc, he was a Director of Fulton Prebon International Limited, one of the world's largest money brokers which had operations in London, New York, San Francisco, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Sydney, Bahrain, Luxembourg and many other financial markets. He commenced his career in the City of London as an Investment Analyst and was Senior Merchant Banking and Financial Sector Analyst at Greenwell Montagu Securities Limited. He held similar posts at Sheppards and Chase Stockbrokers Limited and Wood Mackenzie & Co Limited. He is a graduate of the University of Stirling and has a BSc with Honours in Economics and Computer Science. He is a Director of a number of other companies, both listed and private.
