David Mallia joined the Board of Blue Planet Investment Management Ltd as an Executive Director on 1st April 2008.
In 1975, he joined Barclays Bank Malta and after qualifying as an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, London, moved to Toronto, Canada where he formed part of the Treasury and Private Banking divisions of Chase Manhattan Bank and Midland Bank.
In 1989, he returned to Malta and joined Charts Ltd where he helped to expand the Wealth Management side of the business. Charts has maintained a leading presence in the market.
Kenneth Murray is a Director of Blue Planet Investment Management Ltd. He is also the Chairman of Blue Planet Investment Advisers Ltd and a Director Blue Planet Investment Trust plc and Blue Planet Holdings Limited. In 1990, he founded The Bank of Edinburgh Group plc and the Bank of Edinburgh plc and was Managing Director of both companies until their sale in 1994. Shortly after its formation The Bank of Edinburgh Group acquired Goode Durrant Bank plc and in 1992 it agreed to acquire the Heart of England Building Society, which had assets of approximately £1 billion. Prior to establishing The Bank of Edinburgh Group plc he was a Director of Fulton Prebon International Limited, one of the world's largest money brokers which had operations in London, New York, San Francisco, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Sydney, Bahrain, Luxembourg and many other financial markets. He commenced his career in the City of London as an Investment Analyst and was Senior Merchant Banking and Financial Sector Analyst at Greenwell Montagu Securities Limited. He held similar posts at Sheppards and Chase Stockbrokers Limited and Wood Mackenzie & Co Limited. He is a graduate of the University of Stirling and has a BSc with Honours in Economics and Computer Science.
As well as being a Director of Blue Planet Investment Management Ltd, Magdalena Klyszewska is also a Director of Blue Planet Holdings Ltd and Labrador Coast Ltd.
She has a BSc with Honours in Microbiology and Biotechnology and a Master of Science in Aquatic Ecosystem Management from the Edinburgh Napier University. In addition, she has a BSc in Biology and Geography from the Jagiellonian University of Krakow.
Mark Jackson joined the Board of Blue Planet Investment Management Ltd on 18th October 2015 as an Executive Director. As well as being a Director of Blue Planet Investment Management Ltd, he is also a Director of Blue Planet Holdings Ltd.
He joined Blue Planet Investment Advisers Ltd in Edinburgh as a Fund Accountant in April 2009 before relocating to Malta to work for Blue Planet Investment Management Ltd in March 2015. He has a MA (Hons) degree in Accountancy & Finance from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh and is ACCA part-qualified.
